Egypt declares 1,467 new coronavirus cases, 39 deaths on Sunday

Egypt confirmed on Sunday 1,467 new coronavirus cases, taking the toll to 34,079, according to a health ministry statement.

The country also reported 39 new deaths that took the tally of virus fatalities to 1,237. However, the total number of recoveries has surged to 8,961 on Sunday from 8,538 on Saturday, the statement said.
