Egypt’s stock exchange indexes end higher, EGX 30 gains 0.57% on Monday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index gaining 0.57 percent to 11,136 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) inched higher by 0.62 percent to 1,853 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose 0.36 percent to 12,983 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 0.51 percent to 2,743 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 0.33 percent to 1,996 points.
Market Cap
Total market capitalisation had posted gains worth around 3 billion Egyptian pounds ($189.8 million) to close at 625.137 billion pounds on Monday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Monday, the trading value has neared 2.3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 346.5 million securities executed over 38,000 transactions.
