Egypt’s stocks bounce back, benchmark EGX 30 surges 0.85% on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index increasing 0.85 percent to 11,545 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) edged up 1.84 percent to 2,435 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 1.08 percent to 14,242 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 surged 1.51 percent to 3,469 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 gained 1.39 percent lower to 2,416 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 6.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($435.4 million) to close at 706.333 billion pounds backed by local investors’ buying appetite on Wednesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 4.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 830.473 million securities executed 53,948 transactions.
