Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Samir Embaby said the ministry will offer terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport to the investors of the private airlines companies in the coming months to make use of the airport’s assets.
He said, on the sidelines of the press conference today, the ministry hasn’t allocated the terminal for one of the Arab investors at EGP 8 million. Embaby referred that the ministry has refused an offer of EGP 20 million to make use of the terminal during the last period, because the company hasn’t provided all the legal procedures that required for submitting to tender of the civil aviation ministry.
The ministry will offer the terminal to the investors in order to operate it and make use of it, after it caused EGP 2 million losses in 2011; underscoring that the private investment will seek to achieve outcomes.
He elucidated that the offering the terminal came late due to process of marketing terminal 4 in the last period was bad; so a little number of investors submitted to get the usufruct of the terminal.
