U.S. stocks closed higher on Monday after a volatile trading session ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting. The Dow Jones Industrial Average hiked by 0.64 percent to reach 197.26 points and closed at 31,019.68.
The S&P 500 added 0.69 percent to end at 3,899.89, and the Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.76 percent to 11,535.02.
Russell 2000 index gained 14.65 percent or 0.81 percent to end the session at 1,812.84. The Mexico stock market – S&P/BMV IPC increased to 23.81 points, or 0.05 percent.
Elsewhere, Toronto stock exchange – TSX COMP jumped to 0.91 percent to close the trading session at 19,562.38.
