Samsung Electronics unit, Samsung Display, is planning to invest $3.14 billion in South Korea to make organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panels.
The Trade Ministry said on Tuesday while announcing the investment that it will last until 2026. These display panel are used in devices such as tablets and computers.
The investment is part of a plan that Samsung Electronics previously announced aiming to invest 60.1 trillion won in the next 10 years in South Korean regions outside the capital, Seoul.
