Banque Du Caire achieved good results in the last nine months, raising its loan and deposit market shares, sources said. The bank’s deposit market share acquired the fifth rank among Egyptian banks as its deposit portfolio reached EGP 44.849 billion at the end of last June. The bank’s loan market share seized the seventh rank as its loan portfolio reached EGP 19.272 billion at the end of last June.
Sources added that the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) was the first bank among banks in Egypt in terms of the volume of loans as its loan portfolio reached EGP 85 billion at the end of last June, while Banque Misr seized the second position with loan portfolio of EGP 44 billion and Commercial International Bank (CIB) acquired the third rank with loan portfolio of EGP 40 billion.
National Société Générale Bank (NSGB) came in the fourth rank with loan portfolio of EGP 35 billion, HSBC Bank acquired the fifth position with loan portfolio of 20.4 billion, Alex Bank seized the sixth position with loan portfolio of EGP 20 billion and Banque Du Caire came in the seventh rank with loan portfolio of EGP 19.2 billion.
NBE also acquired the first position in terms of volume of deposits as its deposit portfolio reached EGP 261 billion at the end of last June, followed by Banque Misr with deposit portfolio of EGP 162 billion and CIB with deposit portfolio of EGP 76 billion. NSGB seized the fourth rank with deposit portfolio of EGP 51 billion and Banque Du Caire acquired the fifth position with deposit portfolio of EGP 44.8 billion.
