President al-Sisi thanks participants in Africa Health ExCon’s success

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has expressed his gratitude on Tuesday to those who are participating in the success of the second edition of Africa Health ExCon, during his speech.

“We are developing countries, and as a result, the COVID-19 pandemic has showed the fragility of the healthcare system in Africa, but with cooperation and coordination, we can improve our capacities,” al-Sisi added.

Egypt’s population has reached 105 million Egyptians, and according to global hospital standards, we need to double the existent number of hospitals in Egypt, and the same goes to the number of medical staff, according to al-Sisi’s speech.

“We were able to combat the disease affecting Egyptians the most, Hepatitis C, and it is possible in a few weeks to celebrate Egypt having zero cases of Hepatitis C,” President al-Sisi concluded.
