A first-edition Apple iPhone from 2007 was auctioned by LCG Auctions and sold for $190,000 on Sunday.
The sealed 4GB model, dubbed the Holy Grail, was initially expected to fetch between $50,000 and $100,000, but after attracting 28 bids online, the phone’s value increased to its final price.
The iPhone was discontinued after only two months on the market because of slow sales, after the updated 8GB model was released with double the storage space for an increased $100.
Two first-generation 2007 iPhones were also auctioned by LCG Auctions and sold for $63,000 and $39,000 respectively.
