Egypt’s national campaign for improving living conditions in rural areas, Haya Karima, has launched its first mental health initiative on Sunday. The initiative is titled Etkalem Hanesma’ak or (Speak Up, We Will Listen).
The initiative is targeting all age groups in Egypt and seeking to shed light on various mental health conditions. It will also provide individuals with vital insights, resources, and psychological support.
The initiative’s team of psychotherapists has conducted assessments for 145 citizens so far and helped guide them to appropriate specialists.
The campaign also focuses on early detection of mental illness. It will also provide parents with necessary tools to engage with their children.
