EgyptAir to resume Cairo-Tokyo direct flights in Sept

Egypt’s national carrier EgyptAir is set to resume direct flights from Cairo to Tokyo starting September with one flight weekly, said a statement on Monday.

The statement was made in a meeting between Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Abbas Helmy and Japanese Ambassador to Cairo Oka Hiroshi.

The meeting aimed to mull joint cooperation in several civil aviation sectors.

They discussed mechanisms of enhancing several projects to be implemented by the ministry during the coming period.

They also discussed ways to promote air traffic and tourism between Egypt and Japan.
