According to the data of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), 1.163 million tourists visited Egypt last October, which was the highest rate in 2012; and the European countries had acquired the lion’s share, by 74%.
During the first ten months of 2012, the number of tourists recorded 9.452 million ones, to increase the number of the touristic nights to 13.152 ones, and average length of stay of 11.3 nights per tourist.
Meanwhile, the number of tourists coming from Europe reached 863 thousand ones in October, and tourists from the Middle East countries amounted to 199 thousand ones at the same period.
