Egypt’s MOPCO net profit hits EGP 5.9 bln in ’23

Egypt’s Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) achieved a net profit of 5.97 billion Egyptian pounds in 2023, from 3.83 billion pounds in 2022, recording a 56 per cent increase, according to an EGX disclosure on Sunday.

MOPCO is the largest nitrogen fertiliser plant in Egypt, which was established in 1998. The company plans to become a centre of excellence and the largest producer and distributor of fertilisers in the Middle East by 2030.
