Russian market ups at Wednesday’s opening
The Russian stock market witnessed a rise at the start of trading on Wednesday on the Moscow Exchange, TASS reported.
The MOEX Index increased by 0.32 per cent to reach 3,381.95 points, while the dollar denominated RTS Index climbed by 0.15 to 1,149.69 points, as per the trading data at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (07:00 a.m. GMT).
By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time (07:15 a.m. GMT), the MOEX had further risen by 0.36 per cent to 3,383.31 points, and the RTS had increased by 0.2 per cent to 1,150.72 points.
In currency exchange, the dollar rate increased by 0.05 per cent to 92.62 rubles on the Moscow Exchange. Similarly, the euro rose by 0.17 per cent to 99.72 rubles, and the yuan saw an increase of 0.25 per cent to 12.752 rubles.
