Gazprom reduces gas supply to Europe via Ukraine

Gazprom’s volume of gas pumped to Europe via Ukraine decreased to 42.1 million cubic metres (mcm) on July 7, down from 42.4 mcm on July 6. The gas flows through the Sudzha gas pumping station in Russia’s Kursk Region.

A Gazprom representative reported that Ukraine has rejected requests for pumping through the Sokhranovka station. Moreover, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) confirmed the 42.1 mcm nomination for July 7.

Currently, the Ukrainian route is the only path for Russian gas to reach western and central Europe, as the Nord Stream pipeline remains fully suspended. Gas deliveries through the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines are intended for Turkey and southeastern European countries.
