Egypt’s c. bank offers EGP 60b in T-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered 60 billion Egyptian pound in treasury bills (t-bills) on Monday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

The auction shall be in two tranches: 40 billion pounds for 91-day to be maturated on 15/10/2024, and 20 billion pounds for 273-day to be maturated on 15/04/2025, as per the statement.

Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
