EGX closes mixed on July 16

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Tuesday.

The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.44 per cent, to 27,828.92 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.76 per cent to 2,681.26 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 went up by 0.84 per cent, to 6,331.29 points.

The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.67 per cent, to 9,121.02 points.

The total market cap reached 1,897,462,518,401 Egyptian pound.

The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 7,851,642,825 Egyptian pound, and 4,190,781,654 Egyptian pound, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 12,042,424,479 Egyptian pound.

 

Top gainers on Tuesday

  1. The shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation (WKOL.CA) climbed by 17.67 per cent, to close at 118.410 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Taqa Arabia (TAQA.CA) jumped by 14.55 per cent, to close at 14.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of General Company For Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction (AALR.CA) surged by 12.94 per cent, to close at the price of 39.110 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

  1. The shares of Rights Issue Of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company – A.T.LEASE -2 (ATLC_r2.CA) declined by 10.79 per cent, to close at the price of 0.909 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of ELSWEDY ELECTRIC (SWDY.CA) fell by 6.75 per cent, to trade at the price of 44.040 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Atlas For Investment and Food Industries (AIFI.CA) dropped by 3.71 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.467 Egyptian pounds a share.
