Panama approves $9b financing plans

Panama’s government approved two decrees enabling the economy ministry to pursue a total of $9 billion in financing, according to a statement from Panama’s council of Ministers.

The first decree authorises the issuance of treasury notes on the domestic market up to $6 billion, with maturities ranging from two to ten years. While the second decree allows the economy ministry to engage in financing agreements with local and international institutions for up to $3 billion.
