Egypt, Rwanda sign pharmaceutical co-operation deal

The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has formalised a partnership with its Rwandan counterpart, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance pharmaceutical cooperation. The agreement was signed during the opening ceremony of the first phase of the Magdi Yacoub Rwanda-Egypt Heart Centre.

In addition to the MoU, contracts were finalised for the supply of medical equipment to the heart centre, funded by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development. The facility is poised to become a regional healthcare hub for cardiac treatment in East and Central Africa.
