Urgent: Sisi extends c. bank’s governor term for additional year

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has extended the tenure of Hassan Abdalla as governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for an additional year, according to Amwal Al Ghad Arabic on Monday.

Abdullah, with over 40 years of distinguished experience, has played a pivotal role in implementing crucial banking reforms.

Prior to his current role, he held leadership positions at United Media Services Company (UMS) and the Arab African International Bank (AAIB).
