Pakistan’s IT sector has kicked off the new fiscal year on a high note, with IT services exports surging by 32.46 per cent in July to reach $297 million, according to WAM citing data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The computer services sector led the growth, increasing by 23.09 per cent to $230.750 million. Software consultancy services stood out with a 24.53 per cent increase to $77.262 million.
While there were declines in certain areas of computer and information services, the telecommunication services sector contributed significantly to the overall positive trajectory.
Call centre services witnessed a remarkable growth of 49.55 per cent to $25.442 million, while other telecommunication services surged by 113.74 per cent to $41.468 million.
