S. Korea’s overseas card spending up in Q2 ’24

South Korean residents’ overseas spending using credit and debit cards remained consistent in the second quarter of 2024, reaching $5.18 billion, according to latest data released by Bank of Korea (BOK) on Tuesday.

This figure is identical to the spending recorded in the first quarter of 2024 and represents an 11.6 per cent increase compared to the second quarter of 2023, the report added.
