Egypt govt assures ample strategic reserves of 5 commodities

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly held a meeting Sunday evening with Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Sherif Farouk to follow up ongoing efforts to ensure ample reserves of key strategic commodities.

Minister Farouk outlined the country’s strategic reserves of essential commodities.

• Wheat: Sufficient for 5.6 months
• Sugar: Sufficient for 15.2 months
• Vegetable Oil: Sufficient for 7.1 months
• Frozen Poultry: Sufficient for 9.9 months
• Fresh Meat: Sufficient for 7.6 months

The government’s efforts to maintain adequate food supplies demonstrate its commitment to ensuring the well-being of Egyptian citizens.
