Vietnam’s garment, textile industry attracts $37b in FDI

Vietnam’s garment and textile industry attracted so far about 3,500 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth $37 billion. FDI makes up 65 per cent of the sector’s export turnover.

Large corporations are investing in modern factories in Vietnam. Focus on technical standards, energy conservation, and environmental protection is crucial for sustainable growth. The industry aims for an export value of $44 billion this year.
