S. Korea imported passenger vehicles up 11.6% in Sep. ’24

The South Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA) reported 24,839 newly registered imported passenger vehicles in September, marking an 11.6 per cent increase from the previous month.

KAIDA’s report revealed on Monday that cumulative registrations for the third quarter reached 194,731 units, slightly lower than the 197,742 units recorded in the same period last year.

Mercedes-Benz led the sales with 8,382 units registered in September, followed by BMW at 7,082 units and Tesla at 1,349 units. Other popular brands included Lexus, Volvo, Audi, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
