EGX closes green on Oct 7th
Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in green area on Monday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.31 per cent, to 31,819.16 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 jumped 1.78 to 3,275.88 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 soared by 0.18 per cent, to 7,571.61 points.
The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.41 per cent, to 10,828.39 points.
The total market cap reached 2,249,328,491,162 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and Non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,813,637,367 Egyptian pounds, and 15,178,294,646 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with 16,991,932,013 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- Six of October Development & Investment (SODIC) (OCDI.CA) shares rose by 15.48 per cent, to close at the price of 62.650 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Orascom Construction PLC (ORAS.CA) shares climbed by 12.67 per cent, to trade at the price of 288.150 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Juhayna Food Industries (JUFO.CA) shares jumped by 12.29 per cent, to the purchasing price of 29.970 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates (EGREF.CA) shares fell by 18.91 per cent, to close at 10.850 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) shares declined by 10.81 per cent, to close at 30.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Alexandria New Medical Center (AMES.CA) shares dropped by 8.92 per cent, to close at the price of 21.760 Egyptian pounds a share.
