Sweden’s inflation rate eases to 1.6% in September ’24

Sweden’s consumer price index (CPI) inflation rate stood at 1.6 per cent in September 2024, down from 1.9 per cent in August, according to latest preliminary data released by Statistics Sweden on Tuesday. The month-on-month change in CPI from August to September was 0.2 per cent.

The Consumer Price Index with fixed interest rate (CPIF) also recorded a slight decline, dropping to 1.1 per cent in September from 1.2 per cent in August, with a monthly increase of 0.3 per cent.

Meanwhile, CPIF-XE (CPIF excluding energy) inflation stood at 2.0 per cent in September, down from 2.2 per cent in August.
