Russia, India eye long-term oil supply pact

Russia and India have agreed to expedite the conclusion of a long-term intergovernmental agreement on Russian oil supplies, according to Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

During a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Manturov emphasised the mutual benefit of such an agreement, which would provide greater clarity on oil delivery volumes and timelines.

Additionally, both countries are actively discussing and focusing on increasing liquefied natural gas deliveries. This partnership between Russia and India aims to strengthen energy security and economic cooperation between the two nations.
