China’s youth jobless rate dips in Oct. ’24

China’s youth unemployment rate for 16-to-24-year-olds, excluding college students, decreased slightly to 17.1 per cent in October 2024 compared to 17.6 per cent in September.

However, the unemployment rate for the 25-29 age group, also excluding college students, rose marginally to 6.8 per cent in October from 6.7 per cent in the previous month, as per recent data from the Statistics Bureau on Monday.
