EGX ends slightly higher on Tuesday
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) concluded Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note, with the main EGX30 index edging up 0.05 per cent to 30,284.35 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.13 per cent to 3,133.15 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 hiked 0.46 per cent, to 8,363.94 points.
The index, EGX100 index increased by 0.23 per cent, to 11,482.1 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,226,776,190,129 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 1,284,078,282 pounds and 288,143,581 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,572,221,863 pounds.
Top Gainers
- Shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (MIPH.CA) soared by 19.99 per cent, to close at the price of 192.430 pounds a share.
- Shares of Universal for Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) (UNIP.CA) climbed by 9.78 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.595 pounds a share.
- Shares of Cairo Poultry Company (POUL.CA) jumped by 9.58 per cent, to the purchasing price of 16.470 pounds a share.
Top Losers
- Shares of Misr Chemical Industries Co. (MICH.CA) dived by 14.91 per cent, to close at 29.950 pounds a share.
- Shares of Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company (ALCN.CA) plummeted by 6.86 per cent, to close at 21.440 pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment (MAAL.CA) sank by 4.62 per cent, to close at the price of 4.340 pounds a share.
