Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended trading in mixed notes on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 going slightly lower by 0.06 per cent to 30,776 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 dipped 0.01 to 3,183.4 points.
Conversely, the SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.45 per cent, to 8,613.85 points.
The index, EGX100 index added 0.36 per cent, to 11,777.22 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,263,955,093,508 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 98,486,661 Egyptian pounds, and 73,786,502 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 172,273,163 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Medical Packaging Company (MEPA.CA) soared by 7.94 per cent, to close at the price of 1.360 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Extracted Oils (ZEOT.CA) climbed by 7.07 per cent, to trade at the price of 3.940 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Industrial and Engineering Projects (IEEC.CA) jumped by 7.00 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.275 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of General Company for Land Reclamation, Development, and Reconstruction (AALR.CA) sank by 5.62 per cent, to close at 48.170 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Lecico Egypt (LCSW.CA) dived by 4.46 per cent, to close at 27.830 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing (RUBX.CA) plunged by 4.32 per cent, to close at the price of 7.530 Egyptian pounds a share.
