Gold prices up slightly on Christmas Day

Gold spot prices rose slightly on Wednesday as spot gold prices increased at 6:47 AM GMT by 0.17 per cent to $2,617.27 per ounce, compared to the previous closing price of $2,612.94.

Meanwhile, US gold futures remained steady at $2,633.50, the same as the closing price on Tuesday.
