President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, witnessed on Wednesday the signing of seven Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between Egypt and Cyprus. The agreements were signed during the ongoing Egypt-Cyprus-Greece Trilateral Summit in Cairo.
The MOUs encompass a wide range of vital sectors, aimed at enhancing cooperation in areas such as higher education, scientific research, information technology, and tourism. They also include commitments to support women’s empowerment, with a focus on the tourism sector and the Women’s Complaints Office. Other key areas of collaboration include marine ecosystem preservation, water resource management, and nuclear safety, specifically early warning systems for nuclear incidents.
The MoUs were signed by Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel-Aty and his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos.
