Egypt’s General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) announced on Sunday the beta launch of its new digital services platform for investors. This marks the first phase of its digital transformation initiative.
The initial rollout includes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services, investor onboarding, project approval, and several one-stop-shop services such as permanent operation licences by notice and annual follow-ups for licensed establishments.
Additional services, including temporary operation licences, prior licencing for permanent operation, operating licence amendments, and construction permits, will be introduced gradually.
SCZone Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien emphasised that the initiative aims to streamline investment procedures, improve service transparency, and enhance the region’s business environment.
The project is backed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is providing financial support and expertise to integrate global best practices in digital transformation.
