Egypt’s Abdel-Aty, UAE’s Abdullah bin Zayed discuss Gaza ceasefire efforts

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty on Tuesday met with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the current situation in the Gaza Strip and Egypt’s efforts to reach a deal that would ensure calm and a return to the ceasefire agreement.

The two ministers also discussed the upcoming actions of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee and its engagement with international parties regarding the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Middle East–America Dialogue (MEAD) conference in the United Arab Emirates. The two sides reviewed developments on several regional issues and exchanged views on the latest updates. They stressed the importance of continued coordination to reduce tensions and avoid further instability in the region.
