Egypt’s GAHAR grants accreditation to 16 new healthcare facilities

Egypt’s General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) announced that 16 new healthcare facilities across Egypt have been accredited in accordance with the national quality standards issued by the authority, as per a Cabinet statement on Monday.

Among the accredited institutions is Ain Shams Specialised Hospital in Obour City, which received full accreditation under GAHAR’s quality standards.

The authority also approved the accreditation of Aswan Specialised Hospital, along with five family medicine facilities, including Al Safa Family Medicine Unit in Suez and Abu El Reesh Qebly Family Medicine Unit in Aswan.

Moreover, GAHAR granted preliminary accreditation to Agial Private Hospital and Hagar Nawateyah Al Qalaa 2 Family Health Centre in Alexandria.

Additional facilities affiliated with Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) also received accreditation, including Daraw Urban Family Health Centre, Hagar Abu Khalifa Family Medicine Unit in Aswan, and Kabreet Family Medicine Unit in Suez.
