Volvo cars’ global sales drop in April ’25

Volvo Cars recorded worldwide sales of 58,881 cars in April 2025, marking an 11 per cent decrease compared to the same month last year, according to its latest figures reported on Monday.

Sales of electrified models at the company dropped by 16 per cent compared to last year, making up 45 per cent of all cars sold in April, the report showed.

In 2024, Volvo Car Group achieved a historic core operating profit of SEK 27 billion for the full year. Revenue for the year reached a record high of SEK 400.2 billion, with global sales hitting a new peak of 763,389 cars.
