Egyptian exports to the Italian markets notably rose by 22% throughout January-May 2012, recording EGP 4 billion, up from EGP 3.3 billion at the same period of 2012.
Reliable sources in the Foreign Trade sector told “Amwal Al Ghad” that Egypt’s exports to the Italian markets during that period focused on the building materials attaining EGP 1.3 billion followed by the chemicals and fertilizers sector at EGP 583 million.
The sources added that the sector of agricultural crops amounted to EGP 450 million, the food industries sector reached EGP 241 million, while the exports of the leather sector hit EGP 117 million.
