Misr Beni Suef Cement (MBSC.CA) confirmed gas supplies cut from its factories.
Medhat Estifanos, Chairman of Cement Producers Department at Egyptian Industries Union, announced that production was halted last Monday in 8 cement factories due to gas cut.
It added that, it couldn’t estimate this impact on production as there is no schedule set for the stoppage, pointing out that this won’t affect production if it lasted for short period due to clinker stock with the company.
On the other hand, South Valley Cement (SVCE.CA) announced that production stopped in its factories due to gas supplies cut.
It added that, gas will be pumped to the factories as of Friday 28/06/2013.
Additionally, Misr Cement (Qena) (MCQE.CA) announced that its factories operating with mazott not natural gas.
