Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports signed a cooperation agreement with Bank NXT, a subsidiary of EFG Holding, to promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment for young people and persons with disabilities, the ministry said Wednesday.
The partnership, part of the presidential initiative, New Beginning for Human Building and supported by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), aims to expand access to banking and financial services while offering training and skills development programmes nationwide.
Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy said the agreement would help deliver customised financial services and enhance financial literacy among young people. “This initiative supports integration into the formal economy and complements our broader national development goals,” Sobhy said.
Heba El Saeed, Head of Financial Inclusion at Bank NXT, said the bank will roll out educational workshops, project management seminars and tailored banking solutions across multiple governorates.
The programme aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy to promote inclusive, sustainable economic growth.
