Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 surged 2.09 per cent to 39,949.66 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.76 per cent to 4,101.74 points.
- The index EGX35-LV advanced 0.74 per cent to 4,369.12 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 0.03 per cent to 12,081.6 points.
- The EGX100 index went up 0.38 per cent to 15,989.98 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,842,608,115,823 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 2,151,860,532 pounds and 1,320,722,871 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 3,472,583,403 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Sues Canal Company For Technology Settling went up by 20.00 per cent to 240.660 pounds a share.
- Shares of Fawry For Banking Technology And Electronic Payment rose by 7.55 per cent to close at 15.380 pounds a share.
- Shares of Development & Engineering Consultants jumped by 7.20 per cent, closing at 84.170 pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Export Development Bank of Egypt dropped by 5.93 per cent to 16.510 pounds a share.
- Shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries fell by 5.66 per cent to close at 104.090 pounds a share.
- Shares of Cleopatra Hospital Company sank by 5.13 per cent, closing at 11.100 pounds a share.
