Egypt launches new investment opportunities in New Obour, New Assiut cities

Egypt’s Ministry of Housing has unveiled on Monday a new package of investment opportunities in New Obour City and New Assiut City, aimed at boosting sustainable urban development, attracting investors, and creating jobs.

The opportunities are being offered through the New Cities Authority’s electronic Investors’ Services Portal, with applications open until 15 January at https://assign.newcities.gov.eg/. The move is part of the government’s broader digital transformation strategy to simplify procedures and save time for investors.

Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny said the initiative seeks to maximise the use of available land in the new cities and expand economic and service activities, covering commercial, administrative, educational, healthcare, and urban development projects. “These efforts will enhance the efficiency of services for citizens and strengthen the new cities as attractive investment destinations,” he added.

In New Obour City, available plots include commercial, administrative, educational, and nursery facilities along major roads and key districts. In New Assiut City, opportunities cover administrative and commercial-residential plots, pharmaceutical warehouses, car service centres, and large-scale integrated urban development projects in the southeast city expansion.
