Egypt’s Sisi discusses Cabinet reshuffle with prime minister

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Tuesday to discuss a reshuffle of Egypt’s current Cabinet, the presidency said.

Presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy said the talks focused on proposed changes to the government’s lineup as part of efforts to realign priorities amid ongoing economic and regional challenges.

Sisi stressed that the Cabinet, in its new configuration, should work towards achieving clearly defined objectives across key areas, including national security and foreign policy, economic development, production, energy and food security, as well as social policy and human capital development, the spokesperson said.

The president also outlined new mandates aligned with the purpose of the reshuffle, underscoring the government’s role in strengthening production, managing economic reforms and investing in human capital, the statement added.
