Gold prices in Egypt rose on Wednesday, tracking gains in international bullion markets and movements in the local currency, according to official data.
By 17:16 p.m. Cairo time (15:16 GMT), the price of 24-carat gold rose by 23 Egyptian pounds, or 0.30 per cent, to 7737.25 pounds per gram, compared with 7714.25 pounds at the close on Tuesday.
Prices for other gold grades recorded similar gains.
