Egypt’s central bank announces Ramadan banking hours

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Sunday that banks will adjust their working hours during Ramadan 2026.

Bank employees will work from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., while services for customers will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the central bank said.

The revised hours are intended to accommodate the fasting schedule while maintaining access to banking services.
