Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.66 per cent, to 51,833.76 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, surged by 0.98 per cent to 5,420.68 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 1.29 per cent to 5,312.66 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 0.87 per cent, to 12,994.7 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 0.88 per cent, to 18,133.68 points.
The total market cap reached 3,364,611,446,368 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 5,930,595,208 Egyptian pounds and 1,184,598,653 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Arabs were net sellers with 7,115,193,861 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Nozha International Hospital went up by 18.24 per cent to 12.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital rose by 13.74 per cent to close at 1.490 per cent a share.
- The shares of Misr Fertilizers Production Company – Mopco jumped by 7.28 per cent, closing at 37.570 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment dropped by 4.15 per cent to 2.310 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of Mohandes Insurance fell by 3.01 per cent to close at 22.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development sank by 2.92 per cent, closing at 0.632 Egyptian pounds a share.
