SCZONE signs cooperation protocol with Gargoub Economic Zone

Egypt’s General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) signed a cooperation protocol with the General Authority for the Gargoub Special Economic Zone to enhance the role of special economic zones in attracting investment and creating job opportunities.
The agreement focuses on exchanging technical, administrative, and organisational expertise, alongside coordinating joint projects to maximise the contribution of both zones to Egypt’s sustainable development goals.

SCZONE Chairman Walid Gamal El-Din said the authority aims to share its experience with the emerging Gargoub Zone to support its development as an integrated industrial, logistics, and services hub. He added that SCZONE integrates industrial areas with seaports to strengthen global supply chain participation, localise industry, transfer technology, and create jobs.

He noted that SCZONE targets investments across 21 sectors and continues to enhance its business environment through a fully digital one-stop-shop system, alongside international promotion campaigns to attract investors.
