Dollar averages 51.97/52.07 against Egyptian pound in early trade – 03 Jun 2026

The US dollar was little changed against the Egyptian pound in early trading on Wednesday, reflecting continued stability in Egypt’s foreign-exchange market, according to data from five major lenders.

As of 10:45 a.m. local time (07:45 GMT), the dollar averaged 51.97 pounds for buying and 52.07 pounds for selling across the surveyed banks.

Bank Buy (EGP/USD) Sell (EGP/USD)
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) 51.96 52.06
Banque Misr 51.97 52.07
Commercial International Bank (CIB) 51.93 52.03
QNB Alahli 52.0000 52.1000
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 52.0000 52.1000

The greenback has traded within a relatively narrow range in recent weeks, supported by improved foreign-currency liquidity and easing pressure on Egypt’s exchange market.

The latest quotes showed only marginal differences among major banks, underscoring a period of relative currency stability following reforms and increased foreign inflows that have helped bolster foreign-exchange availability.
