Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.85 per cent to 50,818.84 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 1.69 per cent to 5,609.69 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 1.52 per cent to 5,905.66 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 sank by 1.44 per cent, to 14,986.99 points.
- The EGX100 index plunged by 1.41 per cent, to 20,616.31 points.
The total market cap reached 3,648,443,200,079 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 1,998,814,794 pounds, and 8,127,303,650 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 10,126,118,444 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of KORRA went up by 19.53 per cent to 3.550 pounds a share.
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments rose by 9.62 per cent to close at 21.650 pounds a share.
- The shares of Arab Valves Company jumped by 8.92 per cent, closing at 11.970 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of Aspire Cap Hold for Financ Invest-3 dropped by 7.56 per cent to 0.110 pounds a share.
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development fell by 7.20 per cent to close at 1.160 pounds a share.
- The shares of Aspire Capital Holding For Financial Investments sank by 6.91 per cent, closing at 0.310 pounds a share.
