EGX ends week in red on 30 July 2026

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Thursday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.35 per cent to 53,442.2 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.73 per cent to 6,012.67 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV fell by 0.85 per cent to 6,315.14 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, sank by 1.03 per cent, to 18,233.32 points.
  • The EGX100 index plunged by 0.91 per cent, to 24,035.88 points.

The total market cap reached 3,936,839,098,025 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 525,191,403 Egyptian pounds and 7,561,792,292 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 8,086,983,695 pounds.

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline went up by 20.00 per cent to 239.760 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills rose by 19.99 per cent to close at 184.780 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME jumped by 15.01 per cent, closing at 26.670 pounds.

Top losers

  1. The shares of El Kahera Housing dropped by 7.65 per cent to 1.690 pounds at closing.
  2. The shares of Arab Real Estate Investment CO.-ALICO fell by 7.63 per cent to close at 4.600 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of El Shams Housing & Urbanization sank by 6.22 per cent, closing at 13.410 pounds a share.
